ABSTRACT
This report contains to short excursus in the origin of relativity concept not only for the purpose of supplement a widely spread one sided image of this important stage of the history of natural science, but also to mind those forgotten approaches to the relativity theory construction that cast light on its close relation to the concepts of classical physics. We emphasize some statements of A. Poincare and H. A. Lorentz which help us to penetrate deeper into the essence of relativity theory.
